Check Your Contractors License

Thinking of hiring the contractor for your home? Before they work you should check your contractors license. The first thing you would point out, see if their license number of the contractor and ensure that they are licensed in your state, the work is to apply, that some countries still do not need a license Contractor.

You will be surprised, but there are places that is not a mandatory inspection. In other words, depending on the state, to determine where you live whether or not the person for the job, a contractor must be licensed.

Let me describe the process of monitoring contractor licensed in the U.S. state of California. This is where I live, for the general contractor authorized.

If you have access to the Internet, you can simply tell the Council, contractor licenses in a search engine, which will take place at the site of the Government of the State of California.

You’ll find a link on the main page, which brings you to a place where you can verify if the contractor is licensed in your country. This requires the name or the number of state licensed to use the correct information.

If you do not have access to a computer or Internet, you can consult your local phone book and ask the Council of State Contractor Licensing for information on the status of your contractor.

If you live in another state, I recommend the one hand and their search for information on how to verify your license number of a Contracting State. It is always possible to build your local authorities, city or county offices for further assistance.

Not always suggest the use of someone, especially someone who does not know personally, work at home without the required license. If you used an unlicensed person, you may be able to intervene if you have a problem with the contractor without a license.
